Periphery
was shown at the exhibition RESIDENTS, Espace EDF Electra, 6
Rue Récamier, PARIS from 7th November 2007 to 30th March 2008
Periphery is a work by Graeme Miller
that
incorporates a collection of 36 pieces of magnetic tape gathered from
the Boulevard Périphérique PARIS. The work marks
a circumnavigation of the city following a zone of precariousness. The
tape, collected between March 06 and October 07, and as a guest of the
Paris International Residency Programme, is a map of Paris in its waste
audio.
The retrieved content can be heard here, beginning at Porte de la
Chapelle, continuing clockwise to end at Porte de Clignancourt.
